Teaching the Immune System New Tricks

Wired reports that independent research teams tweaked influenza virus proteins to train the immune systems of mice, ferrets and monkeys to fight whole groups of viruses rather than just a single strain.

Study authors say that the discovery is an important development in the battle against ever-mutating flu viruses.
