UK Health: Vaping Preferred

In a new review of the latest evidence, Public Health England has announced that best estimates show that e-cigarettes are 95% less harmful than traditional tobacco cigarettes.

The review also notes that “nearly all of the 2.6 million adults who vape in Britain are current or former smokers using e-cigarettes to help them quit. Only a small fraction are teenagers,” according to a Quartz article.

The PHE review also finds that no evidence supports the view that e-cigs are a “gateway” to smoking tobacco.
