Family Planning: Women’s Health Hub

Women are soaking up free reproductive health care and family planning services in rural Garm, Tajikistan, where many are flocking from far away regions.

Females are privately counseled on contraception and learn about maternal health in seminars at the Rasht Reproductive Health Centre, supported by UNFPA and the UN Trust Fund for Human Security.

The impact: Between 2012 and 2013, the district’s contraceptive prevalence rate increased by 4.3%. Plus, home births have dropped significantly.
