Condom Misuse in Uganda

Misuse of condoms is hobbling efforts to prevent the spread of HIV in Uganda, according to Uganda AIDS Commission chairman Vinand Nantulya.

People aren’t using them consistently and some wash them and try to reuse them, Nantulya says in an interview with NTV Uganda. New HIV infections, which dropped to 125,000 in 2014 as compared to 170,000 in 2011, could be further reduced with consistent and proper condom use, according to Nantulya.
