Changing the Climate Conversation

As a US presidential transition approaches, global health leaders at the Stanford Center for Innovation in Global Health stress the urgency of the climate change emergency.

In a new perspective paper, they suggest 3 ways the incoming administration can turn the climate conversation toward matters of health rather than systems of belief: emphasize the relationship between climate change and global health security, convince the public and policymakers that climate change deeply affects health, and advocate clean energy as a way to prevent diseases and conditions caused by pollution.
