Don’t Trash His Outfit

Environmental activist Rob Greenfield is no stranger to strange looks on the subway; that’s what happens when you wear something trashy.
In Greenfield’s case, his outfit is quite literally garbage. He is wearing every piece of trash he generates—from used Big Mac containers to coffee cups, to batteries, to newspapers—for a month. By walking down the street draped in the discarded remnants of his life, he hopes to open people’s eyes to the amount of trash we generate and inspire change.
A photo accompanying the Huffington Post article says it all: his commuting companions politely look away while he manspreads to make room for the bags of garbage dangling off his limbs.
