Nowhere to Hide

Even hospitals tucked deep inside mountain bunkers cannot escape the powerful “bunker-buster” bombs being used by Russian and Syrian government forces.
Yesterday, Reuters reported massive damage from a strike on an underground hospital in Hama, known as the “central cave hospital,” designed to withstand bombs. "It was hit at the height of our work, at a time when there was the largest number of patients and wounded," said Ahmad al-Dbis, of the Union of Medical Care and Relief Organizations.
Russia denied the accusations that Moscow is hitting hospitals, but also claimed that militants were using civilians and "so-called hospitals" as human shields.
CNN also reported a strike on a hospital in Aleppo yesterday killed 2 medical staff members and 5 maintenance workers attempting to repair the hospital after previous hits.
