Bad Influence?

US teens who use electronic vapor products may also engage in the sorts of high risk behaviors long associated with adolescent cigarette smoking, according to a study released this month in the journal Pediatrics.

Using data from a national survey of US high school students, researchers found that more than a quarter of teens smoke cigarettes, vape or do both. Teens who vape, whether exclusively or along with cigarette smoking, had the most high-risk behaviors compared to other teens. They were more likely to get in fights, attempt suicide, text while driving, drink alcohol, use drugs, be sexually active, and have had 4 or more sexual partners.
