Gender amplifies the social, racial and political inequalities that trap people in a cycle of poverty and marginalization, the UNFPA charges in its flagship report, The State of World Population 2017, released today.

- Meet all commitments and obligations to human rights agreed in international treaties and conventions.
- Give adolescents free and confidential sexual and reproductive health information and services.
- Meet all unmet family planning needs, prioritizing women in the poorest 40% of households.
