Action Required

Climate change as a key aggravator of world hunger was the primary topic at the 2nd International Conference on Water and Climate organized by the World Water Council and held earlier this week in France.
World hunger saw its first surge in a decade last year, and the WWC estimated a looming 40% global water deficit, exacerbating food supply issues. Action on climate change and investment in sustainable cities, the 150 attending stakeholders stressed, will be necessary to meet the UN Sustainable Development Goal of “0 hunger by 2030.”
