Wildfires Sweep Wine Country

Victims are flooding hospitals after wildfires swept across 119,032 acres of California wine country, spurred by the dry conditions and 50mph winds. 10 people are confirmed dead, and that number is certain to grow.
Hospitals in Napa and Sonoma are treating over 100 victims of the wildfire. More than 100 more are reported missing from Sonoma County, and over 20,000 have evacuated.
Dry conditions make October the most active month for wildfires in California. Governor Jerry Brown issued an emergency proclamation for 7 counties Monday, including Orange County in the south of the state, where a 4,500-acre wildfire is burning.
