The Business of Health

New partnerships between The Global Fund and 3 private companies highlight the potential for health and wealth benefits to flow from the alliances, which were announced by the Fund at last week’s World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

As described, Lombard Odier, Heineken and Unilever will bring expertise in business practices such as data management, supply chain logistics and communications to advance the Fund’s efforts in battling infectious diseases in African and South Asian countries, including Nigeria, the DRC and India.

The collaboration reflects a growing private-sector realization that healthier communities make for stronger economies, according to a commentary by Christoph Benn of the Global Fund.
