Planned Parenthood Sues Trump

Reproductive rights groups are taking the Trump administration to court over federal policies that undermine comprehensive sexual health services, saying they compromise the health of low-income patients. The legal battle comes amid efforts by conservatives to cut federal funds for organizations offering abortion services, NPR reports.

The lawsuits—one from Planned Parenthood, the other by the National Family Planning & Reproductive Health Association and the ACLU—target the document laying out the government’s Title X program, which makes no mention of contraception but uses coded language to promote abstinence and the rhythm method of birth control.
