Migrants Pushed Back by Tear Gas

A peaceful march by migrants on the US-Mexico border yesterday turned chaotic after US agents fired tear gas to push back migrants who tried to breach the border.
Mexico responded by arresting 39 people, and pledged to deport those who attempted to enter the US "violently" from Tijuana.
Hundreds of Central American migrants, who the AP reports are mostly poor people fleeing gang violence, had been protesting the US's slow processing of asylum claims. More than 5,000 people are stuck in a sports complex in Tijuana, where the mayor has declared a humanitarian emergency.
