Tesla's Hidden Injuries

A medical clinic at Tesla’s auto assembly plant in California routinely minimizes workers’ injuries and fails to provide proper medical treatment, according to an investigative reporting project by Reveal. It found that injured employees were sent back to the factory floor and, in some cases of serious injuries, employees were sent to the ER in a Lyft.

Frequently, the story alleges, workers who visited the clinic with complaints like shortness of breath, chest pain or headaches were not evaluated for possible workplace exposures. Former clinic staffers maintain that the unsafe practices are meant to keep work-related injuries and hospital trips off of official injury logs.
