UNAIDS Stalls Sexual Harassment Report
UNAIDS’ top brass are actively suppressing an independent report investigating sexual harassment, bullying and abuse of power at the embattled agency, according to AIDS-Free World and Code Blue.
The UNAIDS governing body commissioned the report in the wake of a high-profile sexual assault allegation against Luiz Loures, UNAIDS’ former deputy executive director.
The report was due to be released yesterday. However, since receiving a copy last week, UNAIDS management have stalled publication. Instead, the report will be shared with select UN entities, and the UNAIDS governing body will vote on when—and if—to publish it.
