Balenciaga x World Food Programme?

The World Food Programme has teamed up with the celeb-favorite luxury brand Balenciaga on a fashion line.
Among the items: a $790 hoodie, a fanny pack and t-shirts emblazoned with the WFP logo. With 10% of sales going to the WFP,  the collab won’t overflow the WFP’s coffers; the agency raised $7.4 billion in contributions last year.
But while there’s no currency like name recognition, controlling the message is another matter. When Kanye West was slammed for handing out his luxury sneakers to kids in Uganda, he donned a WFP/Balenciaga t-shirt. The UN then clarified that it had no formal partnership with the rapper.
