“Binge-watch” was added to the Oxford English Dictionary a year ago, lending further credence to what might be obvious: This is the era of TV streaming.

Despite the benefits—no cliffhanger anxiety!—health experts fret about the implications of hours and hours of sedentary TV-watching. They suggest smart ways to binge like planning breaks to stretch or do chores, eating healthy snacks, and watching with a friend or partner to curb social isolation.

Another potential health hazard: the emotional hangover following a series finale like the one affecting man after the Game of Thrones conclusion. Fear not! Counselors are standing by.
