Are Doctors Dishing Out Exemptions?

As a measles outbreak continues to rage across the US, at least 4 California physicians are being investigated for giving “questionable” vaccine exemptions.
The CDC says medical vaccine exemptions should be rare and reserved for severe conditions. The complainant—chief of pediatrics at a Kaiser Permanente clinic—says she saw permanent medical exemptions citing reasons including “personal history of genetic defect” and food allergies. She believes doctors may be profiting from illegitimate exemptions.
One doctor known as the ‘go-to’ for exemptions offers a $97 service to “help protect your child from the ‘One Size Fits All’ California vaccine mandate.”
