A Dangerous Exception

At the G20 summit, President Trump made the US the sole dissenter in an agreement to double down on climate change response.
The relatively modest consensus was criticized by environmental groups, but it did manage to unite all other G20 nations.
For his part, Trump praised US emissions efforts, denied that climate action was necessary, and reiterated why he pulled out of the Paris accord: “because it disadvantages American workers and taxpayers.”
Trump’s position ignores “not only science but the growing demands of the U.S. public and U.S. companies for decisive action,” Elliot Diringer of the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions.
