Trump Touts His Environmental Record

President Trump heartily defended his environmental record yesterday in a sweeping address, baffling critics who noted his rollback of dozens of policies geared toward environmental and human health.
The speech comes amid reports that US air quality is getting worse while greenhouse gases are on the rise. During his administration, Trump has rolled back limits on air and water pollution and carbon emissions from power plants.
As the environment secures a prominent place in the 2020 election cycle, Trump has also pledged to attack the Democrats’ Green New Deal, which aims to eliminate fossil fuel use by 2030.
