Mind the Gaps in Euro Health

Europe has a health equity problem: Women in the most disadvantaged groups can expect to live 7 fewer years than their advantaged peers. For men, the gap is up to 15 years.

Beyond a slew of dire stats, the report offers tools and policies that can make tangible improvements “even within the lifetime of a national government of 4 years,” says Zsuzsanna Jakab, WHO’s regional director for Europe.
