A Campaign Against a Campaign

Philip Morris International may be running a global stop-smoking campaign—but make no mistake, PMI’s sleek IQOS products are waiting in the wings to addict new users, according to a damning new report from the STOP Campaign, a tobacco industry watchdog.
While PMI touts its sleek IQOS products as an alternative for smokers, the analysis found that the products are a profitable new venture as cigarette sales wane.

Meanwhile, the company is also still trying to sell cigarettes.
The company has launched a new cigarette brand in Indonesia, is still marketing cigarettes to young people, and has launched several lawsuits against smoking regulations.
