Cheeseburger, Hold the Mold!

It's a perennial question for the fast food industry: How to convince customers that they’re eating actual food?
“Show them the mold!” says Burger King.
After decades of looking perfect for the cameras, the iconic Whopper is showing fans “the real me,” in a new ad campaign. No color correcting, bun-fluffing, and faux-ketchup-oozing—just a decaying, preservative-free Whopper on time-lapse over 34 days.

And it’s disgusting.
The lettuce wilts. The cheese congeals. Like a collapsing building, the sandwich buckles under the weight of its own natural-ness, cloaked in mold.

Now the pressure is on: Will McDonald's bare the Big Mac?
