Germany’s Canine Constitutional

Not walking your dog two hours a day? Come next year, that could get you crated in Germany, thanks to a new law.
The Hundeverordnung—or Dogs Act—was met with immediate bark-lash, The Guardian reports.
“I will not be taking my Rhodesian Ridgeback for two rounds of walks in 32 degrees heat [Celsius], rather we will jump in the river for a refreshing cool down instead,” one dissenting MP insisted.
Plus, who would hound violators of a law that applies to the 19% of German households that own a dog?
One dog, Chippie, tweeted in protest of the prescriptive measure: “I for one will not be walking 2 hours a day. I’m retired. I usually protest my 2nd walk.”
