Hey Caterpillar, Get Your Masks On!
Yes, covering your face all the time is a pain—but humans actually have it pretty good.
If you ever wondered what it would be like for other species, well, the answer is no longer shrouded in mystery, thanks to some highly scientific graphics from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, released just in time for #WorldMaskWeek.
To be fully protected, a caterpillar would have to essentially cover itself in masks. A humpback whale has a pesky blowhole to think of. And elephants would have to cover the end of an unwieldy trunk. Stressful!
Whether or not that makes you feel better, feel free to download the graphics.
May they serve as a constant reminder that things could be worse.
