Baby Boomers are called lots of things: self-centered, self-indulgent, etc.
But, how about "tough"?
After all, they were surrounded by toys seemingly designed to harm them, Mental Floss reported in a recently resurfaced 2017 listicle. Consider:
- Many survived childhood with a Gilbert U-238 Atomic Energy Lab in the house.
- Another favorite: the Johnny Seven One Man Army, complete with “armor piercing” bullets.
- And let's not forget the 1965 Air Blaster—which is just what it sounds like... until someone turns it into a flamethrower.
Perhaps that someone was the young version of a man recently spotted in California airspace strapped to another dangerous toy: a jetpack.
