To Anthony Fauci, with Love and Anger

From: A slew of government leaders, Chinese health officials, politicians, sports teams, doctors, regular people…
To: Anthony Fauci
2 enterprising Washington Post reporters got access via a Freedom of Information Act request to 866 pages of Fauci’s emails from March and April 2020. The emails piled in at 1,000 per day during the early pandemic days. Highlights:

  • A warm correspondence between Fauci and George Gao, director of China’s CDC. They needed to keep communication open between them. At one point, Gao notes the attacks on Fauci and says “Hope you are well under such a irrational situation.”

  • Countless questions such as, “Can the virus be contracted from a corpse?”

  • A Gates Foundation official wrote to the overworked Fauci to say “I am seriously worried about you.””
