Check your Water Privilege

No, this is not a Saturday Night Live sketch.

Health trendsters really ARE shelling out $6 a gallon for unfiltered, untreated and unsterilized water that could lead to water-borne illnesses, Ars Technica reports.

Products like Live Water—lauded for its “smooth mouth feel”—are flying off the shelves. Its founder was “so stoked” to come upon this bountiful spring “supercharged by crystals.”

The Internet is alight with backlash. In case you missed it earlier this week, Crawford Kilian lashed out against the “spoiled babies” sickeningly unaware of the efforts made to protect them “from death in childhood by cholera, norovirus, or plain old diarrhea”—which kills half a million people each year through contaminated water.
